Habitat Classification & Distribution
Habitat types are generally classified according to the Natura 2000 Habitat Classification, while the remaining types were determined using the EUNIS classification system. The dominant habitats are Moesian beech forests, followed by Alpine and Boreal heaths, and Oromediterranean pine (Molika) forests. Oro-Moesian acidophilous grasslands rank fourth in coverage. Springs and peatlands cover the smallest total area.
