National Park Pelister represents a symbol of natural beauty, biodiversity, and the cultural wealth of Macedonia. Our mission is aimed at preserving, advancing, and promoting these values, with respect for nature and responsibility toward future generations.
Mission
National Park Pelister exists to:
Preserve rich natural and cultural heritage — including endemic species like the Molika pine (Pinus peuce) and unique glacial lakes — for future generations.
Promote environmental awareness and education through info centers, open-air and historical educational trails, and youth activities.
Provide a sustainable visitor experience, actively involving the local economy and community through employment, services, and infrastructure.
Vision
To become a leading public institution that:
Creates an example of integrated management — where nature protection, scientific research, education, and eco-tourism are in harmony.
Guarantees long-term sustainability through the implementation of a modern management plan developed in cooperation with domestic and foreign experts.
Strengthens the Park's role as a regional and cross-border partner, participating in European conservation initiatives and thereby positioning nature as a valued community resource.
