During their regular field activities, the ranger service of Pelister National Park captured a rare and charming moment – a young bear, approximately two and a half years old, skillfully climbing down a twenty-meter-high tree.
High Activity of Wildlife
This footage is yet another proof of the park’s healthy ecosystem and the successful protection of large mammals. Bears are exceptional climbers, especially at a young age when trees serve as a safe haven and a vantage point.

Our rangers constantly monitor the situation on the ground. Although the sight is fascinating, we remind you that bears are wild animals, and if you encounter such a situation in nature, it is best to remain calm and move away without disturbing the animal.
The presence of young individuals is a clear indicator that the brown bear population on Pelister is stable and steadily growing.
