The harsh winter conditions on Baba Mountain require extra care for the animal kingdom. As part of regular activities for the protection and maintenance of biodiversity, the Pelister National Park team conducted a wildlife feeding action at several strategic locations within the park.
Providing Food and Minerals for Survival
During periods when natural food is difficult to access due to high snow cover, these measures are crucial for the animals’ survival. A variety of nutrient-rich food was distributed at pre-installed feeders throughout the park:
- Hay: Essential food for herbivores.
- Coarse salt and minerals: Necessary for the metabolism and health of wildlife.
- Grains (wheat and corn): For extra energy during cold days.
Active Protection of Biodiversity
