The educational team of the Public Institution Pelister National Park has kicked off its new season of environmental workshops and outdoor learning programs designed for students of all ages. With strong engagement, the first two days alone welcomed over 120 children and students from various primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and international guests.
Educational Activities Overview
- Day One (~50 participants): Interactive sessions were conducted with high school students from “Josip Broz Tito” High School – Bitola, along with young children from the “Koca Vasileva” kindergarten – Bitola.
- Day Two (~70 participants): The program expanded to include primary students from “Kole Kaninski” Primary School – Bitola and “Braka Miladinovci” Primary School – Dobruševo village. Pelister NP also had the pleasure of hosting guests from “Kemal Atatürk” Primary School – Gostivar alongside visiting students from the Republic of Türkiye.
The Info Centre as a Classroom in Nature
All educational sessions take place at the Pelister National Park Info Centre and its immediate natural surroundings. Through interactive presentations, guided walks, and direct exploration, young participants learn about local biodiversity, the endemic Molika pine forest, and the principles of environmental conservation.

This successful launch is just the beginning of a broader educational initiative planned throughout the year. Pelister National Park invites schools, youth organizations, and educational groups to schedule visits and explore the park’s natural heritage.
