The Pelister National Park Info Centre continues to serve as an attractive destination for both domestic students and international visitors from across Europe. The park recently welcomed students from “St. Kliment Ohridski” Primary School in Bitola, alongside their visiting peers from the Czech Republic.
Interactive Education and Cross-Border Friendship
During their visit, the young explorers participated in a tailored environmental program:
- Biodiversity Exploration: Through interactive environmental education sessions, students learned about Mount Baba’s unique flora and fauna, with a special focus on the endemic Macedonian pine (Molika – Pinus peuce) as the park’s protected symbol.
- Environmental Awareness: Participants discussed the importance of habitat conservation and environmental protection across borders.
- Cultural Exchange: Such international gatherings provide a valuable platform for cultural exchange, building friendships, and experiencing the natural heritage of Pelister firsthand.
