In collaboration with the Macedonian Ecological Society (MES), Pelister National Park conducted an interactive educational workshop for students at the “Dame Gruev” Primary School in Bitola. Utilizing an innovative learning approach, students explored the region’s biodiversity through the custom-designed “Prespa” board game.
Learning Through Play: Young Ecologists in Action
The “Prespa” board game was created to spark curiosity and expand knowledge about regional habitats and biodiversity. Stepping into the shoes of young ecologists, the students:
- Solved interactive environmental challenges.
- Discovered facts regarding the transboundary Prespa Region.
- Learned the importance of natural heritage conservation through teamwork.
These initiatives help foster responsible young generations equipped with the knowledge and enthusiasm to protect the environment.

The workshop was implemented as part of the project “Green and Blue Prespa Initiative – Strengthening Protection through Research, Education, and Communication”.
