As part of the development plans for Pelister National Park, a crucial phase has begun to examine the possibilities of introducing a new transportation system – a gondola. To produce a high-quality and realistic feasibility study, a team of international experts from France and Andorra, in coordination with Pelister National Park, conducted a detailed field inspection.

Field activities began in the early morning hours, with a starting point at Losha Stena above the village of Capari. Guided by years of experience in mountain tourism, the expert team traversed key locations of strategic importance to the park.
Balance Between Nature Protection and Tourism
The primary goal of these studies is to find a perfect balance between protecting Pelister’s specific biodiversity and the need for modern tourism development. These two processes must run parallel, ensuring the park’s long-term sustainability.
As one of the most serious options for future discussion, Pelister National Park has proposed the Capari – Lovechka route, a location offering great potential for connectivity and accessibility.
