Pelister National Park took an active part in a significant workshop dedicated to the creation of “green jobs.” The event was organized by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection, in close cooperation with the Austrian Embassy in Skopje.
Development Potential in National Park Management
The workshop offered a series of presentations and panel discussions focused on the potential for creating new jobs directly related to environmental protection. Special emphasis was placed on the role of national parks in this process, as well as the opportunities offered by sustainable tourism and rural development for the local population.
Exchange of International Experiences and Best Practices
During the event, a significant exchange of expert experiences took place with Austrian partners. These best practices are of immense importance for advancing green policies in North Macedonia and promoting sustainable solutions that will enable economic progress without compromising the natural balance.
Strengthening the Local Economy Through Ecology
Participation in such international events reaffirms Pelister National Park’s path toward modern park management. By introducing the concept of green jobs, new perspectives are opened for the engagement of local communities in activities that directly contribute to nature protection and the promotion of Pelister as a sustainable destination.
