Developing environmental awareness starts at an early age. Children who have frequent contact with nature during childhood build a lasting love and respect for the environment and everything that surrounds us. Today, students from “Elpida Karamandi” Primary School in Bitola had precisely such an experience.
Direct Contact with Wildlife
Under the watchful eye of teachers Ivana Naumovska, Meri Naumovska, and Natasa Dimovska, as well as our experienced educators Violeta Sotirovska and Elena Dzhima Terzievska, the students stepped into the role of true researchers.
The most exciting part of the day was fieldwork exploration, where the children had a rare opportunity to see a small mole and a forest frog live, learning firsthand about their natural habitats.
Activities in the Info Center and Outdoor Laboratory
- Info Center: Learning about the history and significance of Pelister National Park through an exhibition of flora and fauna.
- Micro-World: Observing insects under a microscope, allowing the children to see the intricate details of nature.
- Forest Classroom: Discussions about who lives on the mountain and how each of us can help preserve it.
