Pelister National Park once again became an open-air classroom, this time for the students of “Kole Kaninski” Primary School from Bitola. Through play, exploration, and a true mountain adventure, they stepped into the role of young guardians of nature.
From Forest Inhabitants to Invisible Micro-Worlds
The students went through an educational process that covered all aspects of the park:
- The Mountain’s Wildlife: Getting acquainted with the habits of bears, wolves, and foxes, and understanding their important role in the ecosystem.
- Info Center as a Starting Point: Exploring models of flora and fauna and learning about the mechanisms through which the park is protected.
- Science Under the Microscope: Discovering fascinating details in plants and insects that are invisible to the naked eye.
Creativity in the Colors of Nature
Inspired by Pelister’s autumn palette, the children gathered leaves, flowers, and pebbles, creating unique posters that tell the story of the forest. The day culminated with the exciting game “Eco-Trophy Hunt,” where teamwork helped gather knowledge and uncover the mountain’s hidden secrets.

These visits are crucial for building healthy habits among the youngest. Pelister is not just a place for a walk, but a living organism that teaches children respect, responsibility, and a love for nature.
