A day filled with adventure, knowledge, and exploration! Students from “Kliment Ohridski” Primary School in Bitola turned Pelister National Park into their open-air classroom, uncovering the secrets of the mountain through direct contact with nature.
Exploring the Forest World and the Micro-World
Through interactive methods, young researchers learned about Pelister’s wild inhabitants – from powerful bears to tiny yet important insects. Using microscopes, they entered a world of intricate details, observing plant structures that often remain invisible to the naked eye.
Creativity and the “Eco-Secrets Hunt”
The park’s Info Center served as a starting point where children were introduced to realistic animal models and ecological exhibitions. Activities continued with gathering natural materials for art projects and the exciting “Eco-Secrets Hunt” game, where every child gained new environmental knowledge through play and movement.
A Thousand Lessons from Nature
A day spent on Pelister is worth a thousand classroom lessons. Students returned home richer in knowledge and inspiration, developing an even greater love and responsibility toward their natural heritage.
This event was implemented with the support of the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT), as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen environmental education in the region.
