Pelister National Park, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Bitola Shirok Sokak, has commenced field maintenance for the reconstruction of the Viewpoint (2,000 m a.s.l.) along the Kamenjar trail. Weather permitting, incoming work phases will also introduce new visitor amenities at Jorgov Kamen (1,744 m a.s.l.) and Crveni Steni (1,788 m a.s.l.).
Upgrading Pelister’s Key Trail Infrastructure
Jorgov Kamen and Crveni Steni represent some of the most frequented locations in Pelister National Park, connected by an extensive network of alpine hiking trails exceeding 30 kilometers in total length.
- Enhanced Visitor Experience: The planned installations aim to increase site accessibility and convenience for hikers navigating high-altitude routes.
- Landscape Integration: All structural additions are tailored to integrate seamlessly into the surrounding alpine landscape without altering the visual character of the protected area.
Institutional Cooperation and Community Engagement
This joint initiative between Pelister National Park and Rotary Club Bitola Shirok Sokak highlights the role of civic partnerships in environmental stewardship, eco-tourism development, and practical nature conservation.
Mount Baba remains a regional focal point for community collaboration and sustainable park management.
