This trail starts from Malovishta, the only settlement located within the boundaries of National Park Pelister. The route has a strong cultural and historical character as it connects several religious sites with the high-altitude zone.

Detailed Trail Description

Start from Malovishta:

The trail starts from the village of Malovishta (1,128 m), located about 20 kilometers from Bitola. The first segment leads through the village itself, passing by the Church of St. Petka.

Forest Belt and Monasteries:

Movement continues through a forest belt along a dirt trail toward the St. Ana Monastery. The terrain here is relatively easy for walking, with a steady ascent.

Church of St. Spas (1,950 m):

The trail exits the forest and reaches the small Church of St. Spas at an altitude of 1,950 meters. From this point, a direct view of Pelister Peak opens up.

Vrteshka Peak (2,010 m):

From the Church of St. Spas, it takes about 15 minutes of additional climbing to reach Vrteshka Peak. The location offers a wide panorama of the Prespa Valley and the surrounding mountain massifs.
